Office Living
Even all that snow couldn’t stop our movers!
It should come as no surprise that our move has been a hot topic of conversation at espresso of late. We have finally hung out our shingle at our new address and are slowly acclimatizing to our new surroundings. After hearing about our new “trendy” office at length, and talking about it myself (because here, we eventually all get a chance to have our say— and we speak a lot about Feng Shui, you know, always facing north, and that sort of thing). So, as I was saying, after hearing about our new offices, I started wondering what the offices of my peers around the world looked like. Everyone knows productivity is closely linked to one’s work environment, and there’s nothing like seeing how the other half lives to cheer one up!
I went on to Office Snapshots, a Web site that showcases the offices of communications, Web, and technology companies worldwide. I saw the Google offices in Stockholm (those lucky b—s, they even have a wooden cow!), the Google Mountain View Headquarters (with two spas, a hair salon, a gym—oh yeah, and some workspaces!), and the Twitter offices (check out the gorgeous tree-shaped clock with branches for hands—I ran through the gamut of emotions just looking at it!).
But sneaking a peek at the way others work and live can also make one quickly appreciate one’s own surroundings because, in the end, we are very happy in our new office!
