21.08 km in Central Park for the Cause
![]()
You can run late.
You can run a bath.
You can run wild.
You can run on empty.
You can run around.
You can run away.
Or, like Claire—the director of our NYC office—you can run for the cause!
Initially impelled by a bet she made with a friend, driven by pride, and motivated by her desire to help children by raising money for The Children’s Wish Foundation, Claire is making a run for it! On April 25—come rain or come shine—she’ll be at the starting line with her iPod in one pocket, a fistful of determination in the other, and a tiny chip affixed to her laces that will allow us to track her on our Web site throughout the 21.08-km half-marathon, an event exclusively open to women.
All along the course—as she whips by the trees of Central Park—each step she takes will be to grant her son and the other children a little piece of a dream.
Her objective is to complete the course in under 2 hours and 30 minutes—and we’ll be cracking the champagne if she makes it in less than 2:10—but she’ll be a winner in our eyes regardless!
So follow her tracks and cheer her on as she runs. And while you’re at it, throw in a little something for the cause!
