On August 20, Quebec’s Minister of Culture, Communications and the Status of Women Christine St-Pierre pledged to enact all the recommendations in the Forum report on the development of the Quebec dubbing industry in an aim to hone the industry’s competitive edge. In other words, St-Pierre intends to boost funding in what is an already thriving industry. In fact, the percentage of American films dubbed in Quebec increased from 77% in 2007 to 81% in 2009.
