Dubbed “The adventures of Isa and Nico in France,” the Espadrilles & Champagne Webzine stars Isabelle Marjorie-Tremblay and Nicolas Saint-Cyr who, in six weeks, hit a dozen towns in search of urban France’s better half–the one that is more intimate and more inviting than what is found in most travel guides.

Mulhouse, Dijon, Lyon, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Avignon, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Rouen and back to Paris … The road travelled by Isabelle and Nicolas (with Stéphane Moukarzel behind the lens) was a marathon of the senses. Above all, Espadrilles & Champagne is a love of leisure and discovering new ways to enjoy the exquisite pleasures of food and drink, and the joys of celebrations and parties. Step by step, they reveal the particulars of their travels, the stories and, above all, the people that make France one of the most popular tourist destinations among Quebecers.

Created and produced by espresso as part of a major advertising campaign for Maison de la France – Canada, the Espadrilles et Champagne Webzine will be broadcast online twice a week from April 27 to June 7, inclusively. Each episode will include a half dozen video clips capturing the highlights of the duo’s trip. In addition to the clips, their every move will be recorded in a blog–with an address book to boot!

The Web series will be broadcast mainly on Maison de la France’s Web site at espadrillesetchampagne.com and on the online version of the magazine Coup de Pouce. It can also be followed on Youtube, and there is a Facebook group for all of Isa and Nico’s fans.
